Truffle Inclusive: the promise of Numero Zero, the first inclusive restaurant in Umbria

Numero Zero, located in the historic center of Perugia, is the first inclusive restaurant in Umbria that we have with great joy included in the Truffle Inclusive Project signed by T&C.

Our restaurant workforce is made up of 60% psychiatric patients supported by catering professionals and supervised by clinical staff.
Psychiatric Day Center by day and restaurant by night, our space is designed to create not only an opportunity for patients to socialize, but also true inclusion that takes the form of paid work.
Numero Zero is part of a large inclusion and innovation project in the psychiatric field called the La Città del Sole Foundation. The La Città del Sole Foundation – Onlus was founded in June 1998 to develop innovation in the psychiatric field, accompanying serious psychiatric patients and medium-severe in the process of building life projects centered on autonomy, self-determination and inclusion.

At the center of our actions is the person, with their fragilities and their uniqueness. We work on the development of potential skills with the aim of avoiding institutionalization paths whenever possible, through the activation of all personal, family and environmental resources.
Only by creating opportunities for direct relationships with those who experience mental disorders can we fight the prejudices that accompany it, finding the true antidote to the indifference, marginalization and fears that we carry within us.

Diversity is not a threat to the community, on the contrary, it is what makes it richer.
