Truffle-Inclusive, Cooperativa Sociale Francesca becomes part of the new project signed by T&C
We interviewed Antonio Bernardini, president of the Francesca Social Cooperative and the Giadaunpo’ Restaurant in Urbino, who told us about the heart of the project, its mission and the values around which it was built.
Antonio, you are a volleyball coach. How much did the sporting spirit, the ability to manage a team and lead it to “victory” and the sharing of an objective help you in the adventure with the Francesca cooperative and the Giadaunpo restaurant?
It certainly helped me a lot to create a working group, build and manage human relationships, highlighting everyone’s abilities are the main characteristics for achieving objectives in all fields.
What is the most difficult thing, the obstacle to overcome that you encounter in this journey with fragility? The Francesca cooperative deals with various things, start-up and job training are the activities that help give social value to these people who, thanks to work, take on their own identity. What are the obstacles?
The initial difficulty with kids is being credible. Put them in a position to do something that is within their reach and gives them the right gratification. Towards those who see from the outside it means removing the label of the “poor guy”, as disabled kids do it anyway. We have almost completely overcome this because those who come to us, perhaps initially come out of curiosity, but then they come back because the food is good, the service is done properly and above all they feel good, in a welcoming environment that makes you feel at home.
You told us, in our meeting, that the important thing is to treat disability in the same way as so-called normality: objectives, teamwork, efforts, sacrifices, attitude towards results and victory. Can you explain this concept better?
We put the person at the center of the project, we involve them in everything we do while respecting their working times, we behave like real work colleagues (and not as educators and users).
What do you think of the truffle in-clusive project that T&C tartufi proposed to you for the kids at the Giadaunpo’ restaurant? What made you decide to accept the project for your children and your volunteers?
It is a very interesting project that highlights the abilities of the children and their inclusion. We accepted the invitation with great enthusiasm because we like to test ourselves and be involved in new initiatives, highlighting the abilities of our kids.
We also had the opportunity to ask some questions to Teresa Paci, volunteer and cook of the project, and to Barbara, who enthusiastically participates in the project.
Teresa, she is a volunteer within the Francesca coop and she dedicates her time to the kitchen of the Giadaunpo ‘restaurant, what did you like about the Truffle in-clusive project of T & amp; C Tartufi? You, who coordinated the kids, what was the thing that they liked most about this project? It seems from the photos that there was great joy and fun, is that right?
I feel more and more involved in the Giadaunpò project, I am happy to give my contribution because being in contact with the kids gives me so much energy and joy. seeing the smile and happy look of the kids is a real touch.
Hi Barbara, Did you like making truffle recipes with T&C products? Which of the two recipes, the crostini and the lasagna, did you like best?
I really enjoyed preparing dishes with your products, my favorite is the lasagna, which I really like and with your sauce it became even better.
